CREATIVE FACILITATION

Creative Facilitation is the art of leading a team through a creative process in order to solve problems or generate new shared visions and opportunities for organizations. Getting everyone on the same page in an open and trustful atmosphere of creative collaboration demands special care and attention.

Creative Facilitation offers an important added value when addressing complex design issues. Creative Facilitation uses the fundamental concepts of Industrial Design Engineering to create and elaborate ideas into workable solutions.

BACKGROUND

In collaboration with BREEZE online dating app

Breeze is a dating app founded by students of IDE and EWI, set out to make online dating more human again. They want to encourage people to actually meet each other face to face instead of spending endlessly swiping and chatting on their phones. Making it easier for people to meet their aim is to get rid of the pressure and expectations associated with dating since dating should be like a Breeze.

PROBLEM DEFINITION

The churn happens throughout different phases in the customer journey. Some users end up not responding after a match, and some get canceled after already having gone through the planning process. Some even cancel hours before the actual date was supposed to happen.

These cancellations diminish the value of Breeze Dating App's value proposition of getting users on a real date. It is especially disappointing for the other person who is let down after looking forward to the date.

Session Question: How to keep people engaged without chatting?

PROBLEM ANALYSIS

There are four main reasons why dates get canceled.
1.The user did not understand the concept and was not expecting to actually go on a date. 2.The user got too nervous about the upcoming date and canceled or did not respond anymore. 3.The user accidentally liked a person who became an unexpected match.4. And, lastly, the person started dating someone else.
Furthermore, different genders have different reasons to cancel the set date.
Female users mostly canceled the date because they feel anxious to go on a date with someone they did not have any conversation with before.Male users generally cancel the appointment because their partner is postponing the meeting continuously, and they think the partner does not want to meet anymore.
From the intake session and research and observations, the conclusion is that the users canceled the appointments often because meeting with someone they do not have any contact with before feels uncomfortable for them.
Hence, solutions that offer communication without letting users chat endlessly would help the team overcome it.The crucial point here is protecting the team`s aim, which avoids endless and worthless chat through the dating applications.
